Hot (Continued)

Continuation of my haiku, Hot

I burnt my soft skin
pressing finger to hot wick
to loose my senses.

The heat melted my nail.
I left all my pain behind me.
I could only feel the pinpoint jab
of flame and wax.

No more sadness creased my forehead
only the salty sweat flowed between it’s seams.
I wouldn’t dare pull my hand back
for fear that I would go back
to living in my cold world.
